Why We Love Travel (And You Should, Too!)

blog_title

While travel in the sense of tourism didn’t become a phenomenon until the 18th century, travel in the sense of the movement of people, for a variety of necessities, has existed as long as humankind has been around. Perhaps as sophisticated as we have become in the current day and age, we travel for many more reasons than ever before. We at VoomaGo are about experiential travel mainly because it charges our emotions, feeds our minds, and enriches our lives and the lives of those we encounter. We travel because we really need to push the reset button and gain a new outlook on life; we travel to understand other cultures better and often we discover and understand ourselves better in the process.

For some, travel is often a synonym for “vacation” — we may travel to unplug from our fast-paced cities and lives, to reduce stress and regenerate. For others, it is finally the time and the right circumstances to travel because we are curious of how different the world is outside our own and we take that amazing life-changing leap. Some travelers are seeking a change and they love the adrenaline rush they feel when they are outside of their comfort zone.

You should travel to stimulate your mind and stretch your thinking, build memories and share them with loved ones. Meet new people and make new friends, and expand your cultural footprint across the world. The more people and cultures you become familiar with, the more informed, intelligent, and understanding you become.

Not every trip is the same, sometimes you travel for fun, or business, or to relax, or go on adventure, or explore. Understanding your needs (and those you are traveling with) will help you avoid the stress of the many thousands of options of where to go and what to do.

One simple tip: Be clear on what your ideal travel adventure would look like and consult with a company that can help you make that a reality. Inquire and be curious about their philosophy and reason for being in the industry. Make sure that there is alignment and congruence between their philosophy and your desire for the ideal vacation. Hear their story before you begin building your own with them.

At times, one needs no words to explain why it is that we travel. Take a look…
