Get ready to immerse yourself in the Mediterranean culture and vibe as we travel through several towns of Italy’s biggest island, Sicily. Here Greeks, Romans, Normans, and Arabs have left their influence in the architecture, the culture, and of course the cuisine. Sicily will steal your heart with its beautiful coastal scenery, crystal-clear sea, vibrant markets, delicious cuisine, historic treasures, villas, and theaters rich in Greco Roman ruins and stunning mosaics. The tomatoes, the pastries, the fish, the lemons, the pistacchio, and the sardines will envelop your tastebuds with the most interesting flavors in Italian cuisine, so just one small piece of advice, come hungry!
There are hundreds of charming places, fishing villages, and historic sights to visit but only so many we can cover in two weeks. Our time will be spent between the provinces of Palermo in the north, Agrigento and Siracusa in the south, Catania, Etna, and Taormina on the east side. During the two weeks we will meet a few of Antimo’s friends and locals, going on unforgettable tours, walking around, wine tasting, and cooking with a few friends in their homes.
