The Beaches of Cabo Frio by Buggy

Cabo Frio boasts some amazing beaches with the whitest of sand. The best way of seeing them all ― to be able to stop anywhere you want to swim or just take pictures ― is with a Local and a buggy.

Our Local will accompany you and facilitate the buggy rental so that you are not overcharged (cost for a day averages from $55 to $70). You’ll then get to drive along the 7km stretch of Praia do Forte and admire the view of the beach from the dunes. You’re sure to want to stop here for a Açai (a popular smoothie-type drink) on the beach and to take a short hike around the fortress to take in the view of the city from the water. As the next beach is more secluded, before moving on our Local will suggest a good place to buy refreshments.

The next stop, Praia das Conchas, is one of the most gorgeous and pristine beaches in the area. This is the perfect location to relax, walk, or hike around and explore for a couple of hours. Bring your goggles as turtles can be often spotted here! The rest of the afternoon is yours to spend as you please — walking, swimming, sunbathing or sipping a piña colada. When you head back into town, our Local will show you a couple of areas and recommend some excellent local dinner spots.
