Picnic in Scenic Willamette Valley Wine Country

Just a one-hour drive from Portland, the Willamette Valley is a charming area with about 100 picturesque vineyards growing Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Riesling and other grapes that thrive in this region due to the cooler climate and proximity to the ocean.

Adventuring through the area with John and Debbie, our Locals, is an added bonus as they know the area well. Together, you will go for a scenic drive from Portland down to the Willamette Valley. En route you can discuss with John what wine varieties you fancy and then venture to a few of the wineries in the area between Newberg, Dundee or Carlton. Many of these wineries have beautiful estates where, if you choose, you can relax and enjoy a picnic with a few snacks prepared by Debbie. During the drive you will go through a couple of charming towns in the valley where you can stop at antique stores or pick up some fresh fruits and veggies locally and organically grown….do as the Oregonians do!
