Caffeinated Portland and Its Food Carts

Caffeinated Portland and Its Food Carts

Portland, OregonCall For Price 1/2 Day

Portland has an intimate relationship with coffee and is well-known for its artisanal coffee culture, which is as good as or better than any in the country. Stumptown Coffee Roasters has gained national notoriety, but there are many other excellent roasting companies, micro-roasters, and cafes throughout the city where you can get a delicious cup of joe. We’ve selected a few to give this Experience a multicultural flavor ― join our Portland Local to find out! You can visit a variety of the local favorite cafes, or take your tastebuds on a tour of the world with a coffee cupping where you can compare and contrast the subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) differences and flavors of artisanally-roasted coffee.

Of course, as a town filled with foodies, no visit would be complete without checking out the food cart scene. The prolific food carts in our city are a tasty byproduct of an ethnically diverse population and creative small business owners that make our community such an amazing fusion of ideas and cultures. What started as a cheaper alternative to opening a restaurant, the food cart movement of Portland quickly revolutionized the way we “eat out.” They have become so popular in the last few years, in fact, that the city now has over 600 to choose from. The amount and quality of food carts have earned Portland many accolades, including “Best Street Food” in the world.

This will be the last stop for this Experience, so once you’ve chosen what you want to eat, you can pick the ideal spot (depending on the weather) to enjoy your food while enjoying Portland’s character and charm.
