An Amazing Archipelago in the Adriatic

Isole Tremiti, ItalyCall For Price 3 Day

The islands of Isole Tremiti are an archipelago in the Adriatic Sea that have a lot to offer. Whether you are traveling with a friend, or you are a family with kids, and are staying on the island or you cross over for just the day, you will have an amazing time. The beaches accessible by land, sandy or rocky, are all public. The crystal clear, turquoise water is great for snorkeling and the islands are famous for scuba diving.

The main Island is great to explore, running or just walking as it offers breathtaking views and many opportunity for amazing photography both at sunrise as well as at sunset. You’ll want to explore the other smaller islands and the medieval fortress and old church built into the limestone cliffs.

As part of your cross over, you receive an additional 1 hour boat tour of all the islands which is a good way of surveying where you might want to spend most of your time, swimming, snorkeling or just picnicking and sunbathing. The main island has a couple of restaurants and cafes by the water as well up above on the piazza from where you can enjoy a great view. Make sure you have a swimming suit at all times as the water is incredibly inviting and warm.

For this experience our locals recommend setting sail from Termoli, a picturesque town on the adriatic and spending at least two nights on the Island. And it would be best to avoid visiting the islands in July and August as many Europeans make them their destination and they may not be as relaxing and charming. However, late may, June and September are fantastic. The rest of the year only about 75 people live on the island because there are no schools.

If you love the sea and boats we can also arrange a private boat with skipper and give you a lot more of independence about cruising around the islands.

This experience is best when customized to your needs. Our local will be happy to make sure that you are situated in a good hotel, help you getting there and explain you the logistics of the island for you to relax and explore on your own. In addition our local will make sure that any additional excursion be booked with him to avoid being overcharged. Due to the small nature of this mesmerizing archipelago of three islands and not a whole lot of hotel infrastructure, if you want to spend the night on the main island, we strongly recommend booking 2-3 months in advance.
