Calabria, otherwise referred to as the “toe” of Italy is one of Italy’s lease visited regions and yet very unique and beautiful. It abounds with incredible mountains, ancient towns perched on hilltops, dramatic coastline and turquoise waters, spicy peppers and several culinary delights.
During our time in Calabria we will be staying in a castle from the XIII century, hike around a few ancient towns such as Praia a Mare, Belvedere, Pizzo and Tropea, with many chances to relax on pristine beaches and share meals with locals.
Sicily will steal your heart with its beautiful coastal scenery, vibrant markets, and villas rich in Greco Roman ruins and stunning mosaics. The tomatoes, the pastries, the fish, the lemons, the pistacchio, and the sardines will envelop your tastebuds with the most interesting flavors in Italian cuisine, so just one small piece of advice, come hungry!
There are hundreds of charming places to visit and only so many one can cover in a week. Our time will be spent between Taormina, Etna, Siracusa, Catania, and Agrigento meeting locals, going on unforgettable tours, walking around and cooking with a few friends in their homes.
“Traveling with Antimo is simply amazing. His passion for people and culture, the small size of the group, quickly result in friendship. You can tell that the people we interacted with are very fond of Antimo. On our own we would have never been able to have such a magic time!”Chris B.
“Our trip to Italy with Antimo was everything he promised, and more. He takes care of the smallest details with warmth, humor, and caring. We have a lifetime of incredible memories!”Karla I.
“You simply cannot compare a VoomaGo experience with Antimo with any canned tours. You get to meet real people and experience Italy in unmanufactured ways. We cannot say enough about Antimo and VoomaGo!”Martin P.
